12 – 6 p.m.: Anarchist Park Festival at Rabet
In addition to drinks, cakes and a vegan barbecue, there will also be information stands, workshops, talks and much more. So come along and let’s have a great afternoon. Maybe think of a blanket to sit comfortably and dishes for the culinary delights. Unfortunately, Corona is still a thing – so please come tested or use the free testing facilities in the area. See you at Rabet.

1 – 4 pm at the Park Festival: Exchange on Mutual Aid – Self_Social Therapy (MAST) – An anti-authoritarian approach to collectively dealing with our mental and emotional problems
Language: German, English with whispered translation
Mutual aid / self_social therapy, or MAST for short, was founded by anti-authoritarian psychotherapists in NYC with the goal of creating a self-organized form of therapy for emancipatory, resistant communities. We met in early February 2024 with the goal of founding a MAST group and now meet regularly for therapy processes. On this evening we want to give a short overview of the structure and methods of MAST.
On May 10th at 3.45 pm there will be a longer event with experience reports, reflections and a practical part. To read more and to get to know the methods and structure of MAST: The Jane Addams Collective: Mutual Aid Self/Social Therapy, to be found at: https://theanarchistlibrary.org

To find access to the political Leipzig and navigate all the different groups and events can be difficult and overwhelming. We want to offer a space where people can meet each other and find people for political exchange, discussions and exploring. Whether you are looking for an affinity group to go to the Demo, political event etc. or someone to talk about the latest news. No prior knowledge needed. Whether you are an expert, a newbie; whether you lived here for years or just moved to Leipzig; everybody is welcome. The introduction will be in English, but of course you can talk to each other in any language you see fit. Whisper-translators very welcome.

3 – 5 pm at the Parkfest: Workshop: How to win
By Jonathan
Language: German, English
Even though times are often damn frustrating for anarchists, it is clear that the conditions for our action are worsening as social crises intensify. We know about the pull of authoritarianism, the spread of fascism, climate change, patriarchal and racist subjugation, the expansion of the state of war and the intensification of exploitation. We know all this and more. That is why our attitude to life is not to simply accept domination and fit into it, but to circumvent and fight it. But what knowledge is available to us about how we can organize ourselves well and empower ourselves sustainably? How can we act directly and align our actions with a shared vision? Finally, how and what can we win? No solutions are offered in the workshop. Those who look around, act with conviction and are a little creative will come across many useful concepts, applied knowledge and experiences. This event is about gaining a better understanding of our own questions and ideas about “winning”. After an input, there will be several phases of small group work with which we will initiate a joint reflection process.
4 – 6 pm Feminist anti-prison rally in Chemnitz
Parking lot in front of the women’s prison
Every day, prisoners experience how every aspect of their lives is controlled by the prison and the people who run it. They are to be cut off from the outside world so that the prison, its everyday life and its rooms become the all-encompassing basis of existence. Through these constraints, people are disciplined so that they fit back into the prescribed society. We do not agree with this form of punishment and the conditions that prisons create. We reject them as tools for maintaining state power and are fighting for a society in which there are no more prisons. After all, it is mainly people who are already degraded by discrimination, poverty and racism who end up in prison. We can clearly see that prisons are designed to make the problems of our society invisible by hiding people from our view. So come with us to the Frauen JVA Chemnitz and let’s give the prisoners there a few nice moments. Let’s try to break their isolation for the moment. They should not be forgotten. On 05.05.24 from 16h on to the women’s prison Chemnitz. There will be joint journeys from Leipzig and Dresden, inform yourselves in your structures. Do you have greetings in or from the prison? Send us an email to: noprisons[at]systemli.org (PGP key on request)
