1-3 pm Meuterei: Lecture: Political theory of anarchism
By: Jonathan
Language: German
In which terms can anarchist thoughts be summarized? What are the characteristics and criteria of anarchist theories. What benefits can we draw from theory in conjunction with anarchist ethics and organizing. After many years of work, I have finally published my doctoral thesis on the political theory of anarchism. I would like to present some of the contents, talk about my experiences at the interface between science and anarchism and explain why I published the book with a scientific publisher.
2 – 5 pm XonXanXop: Workshop: Reclaim Emotions! By: charlie (she/her) von ASUB – aktiv sein und bleiben / aktivismus.ch Max. 20 participants
In this workshop, we will explore the political significance of emotions and how they support our activism, our collectives, and our personal resilience. Neoliberal, patriarchal, and racist narratives have marginalized emotions, labeling them as weakness or as a private matter. However, feelings such as anger, sadness, and fear are indispensable for understanding the state of the world. The better we understand and appreciate our emotions, the better we will be able to handle them and even use them as a source of strength for our engagement. Reclaim Emotions! To develop critical self-care strategies, prevent burnout, and create regenerative structures! In addition to theoretical inputs on the topic, the workshop also includes practical exercises that you can apply individually and in your collectives. As this is a sensitive topic and the workshop is intended to be intimate, we would like the group to consist of no more than 20 people.
If you already know that you want to participate, please register by sending an email to radicalresilience[ät]immerda.ch with “A-Days” as subject before the 02.05. But, there will be a few places for spontaneous people.
1.30-4.30 pm Lixer: Content, exercises & discussion: Dealing with emotional triggers – towards collective responsibility & resilience
Language: German
TIANQ* only (trans, inter, agender, non-binary, queergender, questioning people)
Pre-registration: schuppenkriechtier[ät]systemli.org
“We see emotional resilience as something to build together, to work on together, to find refuge in, and to be able to call upon as a structure of oriented strength and principles when coping with trauma. […] An essential part of our concern is to create an alternative to the pervasive neoliberal notions of self-care that disempower and isolate us as much as they reinforce the supremacy of money+private property and state power.” (Mutual Aid, Trauma, and Resiliency) In this workshop we will give input on survival strategies of our autonomous nervous systems, emotional triggers, and strategies to break out of unconscious reactions towards conscious decision-making ability, e.g. how we want to act in conflicts with friends or comrades. There will be a three-part exercise and then space for verbal exchange in two groups (of your choice): one with a personal focus on what was directly experienced during the exercise; and a second with an opportunity to reflect on how expanding emotional agency can inspire more sustainable resilience building in resistant self-organization, and/or contribute to better collective processes seeking community accountability. Registration by mail to schuppenkriechtier[ät]systemli.org. Please write in the mail your name with which you want to be addressed at the workshop, if you use pronouns, the one you want to be addressed with, and the sentence that you are a tinaq* person. (Then we are sure you have read this. We will not question any bodies that come along). If you can already think of barriers that we can address (together) so that the afternoon is more accessible for you, please feel free to do so. Please come Covid-tested and without symptoms of infectious viruses or similar. We want those who want to be safe without a mask. The exercises do not involve physical contact between people, and there are only invitations, so there is no obligation to take part in anything.
Starting 2/4 pm EG125: Soli Art Market and Nude Drawing for Anarchist Antifa
By: Radical Kunst Force
14:00 starts the market and 16:00 the nude drawing
We are all people from Ukraine and many of us come from the art scene. We want to offer an open nude drawing session and sell our art products to raise funds for people in the anarchist antifa fighting on the Ukrainian front. Come and join us to discuss this topic together. No russian nationalists and russian expansion supporters welcome.
3-5pm Meuterei: Workshop: “I don’t want to burn my closet with you.” – read a text about the so-called queer scene together
By: Zine Fan Gang
Language: German, English, French
Once upon a time, there was a squat in Toulouse that was home to a self-organized library. There, part of the Zine Fan Gang stumbled across the text “du dit milieu queer” at the weekly discussion event and a year and a half later, the translation of this text now finds its way to the A-Days in Leipzig. The text criticizes the queer, anti-authoritarian scene – from the perspective of people who were or are active in the queer, anti-authoritarian scene. Together we want to read this text about (and against) the “so-called queer scene” and get into conversation with each other. Although the original refers to Toulouse and the surrounding area, it can – in our opinion – be applied almost 1:1 to the “queer” scene in Leipzig. Because here, too, you can only be part of the scene if you have the right outfit, know the secret codes and party locations or chill out with the “particularly political”, “cool” kids. Just like the authors, we don’t find this particularly anti-authoritarian or anti-capitalist. And certainly not queer-revolutionary. So let’s read together and then ask ourselves questions about ourselves and our spaces – well, and maybe also find out directly how we can do better. The workshop is not queer-only, but is primarily aimed at anyone who can identify with ‘queer’ or has a lot to do with it.

5 pm – 7.30 pm Meuterei: Book presentation and discussion: Classless – Social resistance from Harz IV to the inflation protests
By the editors
Language: German
Poor people are usually only reported on as objects of aid and charity. They are rarely mentioned as subjects who fight for their own interests. This is why it is still largely unknown today that in 2004, thousands of people took to the streets in many cities in eastern Germany against the impending introduction of Hartz IV. At the time, it was mainly those affected by this impoverishment policy. The experiences from that time make it clear what would be possible if individual suffering from poverty turned into collective resistance. The book “KlassenLos – Sozialer Widerstand von Hartz IV bis zu den Teuerungsprotesten” (https://diebuchmacherei.de/produkt/klassenlos-sozialer-widerstand-von-hartz-iv-bis-zu-den-teuerungsprotesten/)), edited by Anne Seeck, Gerhard Hanloser, Harald Rein and Peter Nowak, refers to these struggles 20 years ago and also asks why hardly any poor people are taking to the streets against the inflation policy today. Two of the editors, Anne Seeck and Peter Nowak, will present the book. An important question is, of course, how they dealt with the fact that right-wing groups also took part in the protests 20 years ago. Why are there hardly any protests today against inflation, against the further agitation of the citizens’ bloc from the AfD to the CDU/CSU to the SPD against recipients of citizens’ benefits, who are to be further oppressed? These are some of the questions that we would like to discuss with all interested parties at the event.
9 pm – 4 am “Beer damage in the sink” – A-Days party at Wasserschaden
9 pm admission, 10 pm start, 4 am end
The Wasserschaden has been around for… well… a few years now. After a long construction and corona break, events such as bars, concerts and parties are taking place here again. In addition, the Food Coop and the Solawi “Ackerilla” are served here once a week and a technical consultation hour always takes place on Wednesday evenings. On May 4th, we simply want to celebrate the existence of the place, create a sweet atmosphere and possibly recruit new people for the collective. Feel free to contact us.
